graduated from the Moscow State University (faculty of biology) in 1962 and from the
Academy of Medical sciences in 1965 (postgraduate course).
Dr. Vasiliy Filin is an originator of new scientific direction that is a videoecology.
He was the first to examine visual environment as a factor of ecology.
V.A.Filin is an active member of Russian ecology movement. He regularly contributes to
Russian and foreign mass media: TV, radio, newspaper and journals and participates in
various conferences.
V.A.Filin is an author of more than 300 articles. He is a member of the Ecology Council
of Parliament of Russia, a member of the International Academy of sciences.
