Aggressive visual fields -->
The major part of industrial buildings, by their appearance, forms aggressive visible
fields. An excellent example for that is the building of "Serp i molot" ("Hammer and
sickle") plant in the appearance of which vertical rustics prevail, there are 38 of
them shown in the left photo (fig. 27). At the cost of projection panels in the upper
part the creators probably tried to somehow "split" an aggressive field, but one
cannot say that they managed to do this since the square of a homogeneous surface
is too big. On the other hand, a combination of aggressive fields does not provide
for a good effect. Plants and factories were built before as well, however, their
architectural appearance did not disintegrate urban environment as modern buildings
do. An example for this is an old building of the electric bulb plant with arches,
architectural decorations and diversified silhouette (right photo - fig.28). It is "easy" for an
eye to look at such building.
